# MergeConflictError

AI Agents Framework

Raised when `--merge` targets an existing but un-parseable YAML file.

Merging cannot proceed without a readable target, so instead of silently
overwriting the user's work with a freshly generated file we preserve the
original (a `.bak` copy) and abort. The CLI surfaces the message so the
user can fix the file or re-run without `--merge`.
