# HandoffToolPolicy

> Defined in the [**handoff**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/handoff.md) module.

AI Agent

Policy for tool boundary enforcement during handoff.

Defines how tools are filtered when handing off to a target agent.
Default mode is 'intersect' for security by default - sub-agents only
get tools that both they and the source agent have access to.

Attributes:
mode: Tool filtering mode

* "intersect": Target gets intersection of source and target tools (DEFAULT - secure)
* "passthrough": Target keeps its full tool set (legacy behavior - opt-in)
  blocked\_tools: List of tool names to always strip, regardless of intersection
