> is_retryable: Check if this outcome represents a potentially retryable failure.

# is\_retryable

Method

> This is a method of the [**AgentRunOutcome**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/classes/AgentRunOutcome.md) class in the [**run\_outcome**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/run_outcome.md) module.

Check if this outcome represents a potentially retryable failure.

Based on the status type:

* timeout: Generally retryable with longer timeout
* invalid\_output: May be retryable with different prompt/validation
* failure: Usually not retryable (logic error)
* cancelled: Not retryable (external signal)

## Signature

def is_retryable() -> bool
```

### Returns

**Returns** `bool`

The result of the operation.
