# Edit Message • AI Agent SDK

> edit_message: Edit an existing message.

# edit\_message

AsyncMethod

> This is a method of the [**BasePlatformAdapter**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/classes/BasePlatformAdapter.md) class in the [**base**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/base.md) module.

Edit an existing message.

Default behaviour when the platform does not support edits: report
