# reset\_short\_term

Method

> This is a method of the [**ChromaMemoryAdapter**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/classes/ChromaMemoryAdapter.md) class in the [**factories**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/factories.md) module.

Clear this adapter's memory.

NOTE: this adapter stores short-term and long-term in a single shared
collection (`store_short_term`/`search_short_term` delegate to their
long-term counterparts and no `memory_type` tag is recorded), so
per-tier scoping is not possible here — resetting short-term also clears
long-term. Use a tier-aware backend (e.g. the Dakera adapter) if you need
to erase a single tier.
