Send `text` to `target` and await the next correlated reply.

## Signature

```python theme={"theme":{"light":"vitesse-light","dark":"vitesse-dark"}}
async def ask(target: str, text: str) -> 'ConversationReply'
```

## Parameters

**target** `str` *required*

Symbolic target token ("origin", "\<platform>", "\<platform>:\<chat\_id>\[:\<thread\_id>]", or a friendly alias).

**text** `str` *required*

The prompt to send.

### Returns

**Returns** `'ConversationReply'`

class:`ConversationReply` describing the outcome.
