# Note Restart • AI Agent SDK

> note_restart: Record a fleet restart at ``now`` and return whether the breaker is tripped.

# note\_restart

Method

> This is a method of the [**FleetSupervisionPolicy**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/classes/FleetSupervisionPolicy.md) class in the [**protocols**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/protocols.md) module.

Record a fleet restart at `now` and return whether the breaker is tripped.

## Signature

```python theme={"theme":{"light":"vitesse-light","dark":"vitesse-dark"}}
def note_restart(now: float) -> bool
```

## Parameters

**now** `float` *required*

A monotonic timestamp for this restart event.

### Returns

**Returns** `bool`

`True` when the aggregate restart rate has reached
`fleet_restarts_per_hour` within the trailing hour (or the breaker
is still within its cooldown); `False` otherwise.

## Uses

* `tripped`
