Method

Update an existing entry.

## Signature

def update(entry_id: str, content: str, metadata: Optional[Dict[str, Any]]) -> Optional[Dict[str, Any]]
```

## Parameters

**entry\_id** `str` *required*

Entry identifier

**content** `str` *required*

New content

**metadata** `Optional`

Optional metadata to merge

### Returns

**Returns** `Optional[Dict[str, Any]]`

Updated entry or None if not found
