Method

> This is a method of the [**MessageSteeringProtocol**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/classes/MessageSteeringProtocol.md) class in the [**protocols**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/protocols.md) module.

Process any pending steering messages and update execution context.

This method is called during agent execution to check for
and process any steering messages that have been queued.

## Signature

```python theme={"theme":{"light":"vitesse-light","dark":"vitesse-dark"}}
def process_steering(context: Optional[Dict[str, Any]]) -> bool
```

## Parameters

**context** `Optional`

Optional execution context to update

### Returns

**Returns** `bool`

True if messages were processed, False otherwise
