# load

Method

Convenience method to load a skill.

## Signature

```python theme={"theme":{"light":"vitesse-light","dark":"vitesse-dark"}}
def load(skill_path: str, activate: bool) -> Optional[LoadedSkill]
```

## Parameters

**skill\_path** `str` *required*

Path to skill directory

**activate** `bool` (default: False)

Whether to also load instructions

### Returns

**Returns** `Optional[LoadedSkill]`

LoadedSkill or None if invalid
