# Get Available Skills • AI Agent SDK

# get\_available\_skills

Method

> This is a method of the [**SkillManager**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/classes/SkillManager.md) class in the [**manager**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/manager.md) module.

Get metadata for all available skills.

This is used for system prompt injection. Skills are filtered by:

1. disable-model-invocation: true (excluded)
2. Capability enforcement (if strict mode, exclude UNAVAILABLE skills)
3. Graceful-degradation fallbacks: a skill that declares
   `fallback_for_tools` / `fallback_for_servers` is offered only
   when the referenced capability is ABSENT.

## Signature

```python theme={"theme":{"light":"vitesse-light","dark":"vitesse-dark"}}
def get_available_skills() -> List[SkillMetadata]
```

### Returns

**Returns** `List[SkillMetadata]`

The result of the operation.
