# from\_properties

Method

> This is a method of the [**SkillMetadata**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/classes/SkillMetadata.md) class in the [**models**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/models.md) module.

Create SkillMetadata from SkillProperties.

## Signature

```python theme={"theme":{"light":"vitesse-light","dark":"vitesse-dark"}}
def from_properties(props: SkillProperties) -> 'SkillMetadata'
```

## Parameters

**props** `SkillProperties` *required*

SkillProperties instance with path set

### Returns

**Returns** `'SkillMetadata'`

SkillMetadata with location pointing to SKILL.md
