# Delete Run • AI Agent SDK

> delete_run: Remove ``run_id`` and all its journal events.

# delete\_run

Method

> This is a method of the [**RunJournal**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/classes/RunJournal.md) class in the [**journal**](https://praison.ai/docs/sdk/reference/praisonaiagents/modules/journal.md) module.

Remove `run_id` and all its journal events.

Used when replacing a run wholesale (e.g. a portable import with
`overwrite=True`) so the destination does not keep stale events that
would leave a replay index belonging to neither run.

def delete_run(run_id: str) -> None
```
