# desentinelize • AI Agent SDK

> desentinelize: Substitute every known sentinel in ``text`` back to its real secret.

# desentinelize

Function

Substitute every known sentinel in `text` back to its real secret.

Called by an egress guard *only* once a host has been allowlisted, to put
the real credential on the wire. Text with no sentinel is returned
unchanged, so this is safe to call on every outbound request.

def desentinelize(text: str) -> str
```
