# Has Sentinel • AI Agent SDK

> has_sentinel: True if ``text`` contains a minted sentinel token.

# has\_sentinel

Function

True if `text` contains a minted sentinel token.

An egress guard uses this to detect that a request carries a credential and
must therefore pass the host allowlist before :func:`desentinelize` runs.

```
