Generate new images from text descriptions using AI image models

The --image-generate flag creates new images from text prompts using AI image generation models.

When --llm is omitted, the CLI still passes dall-e-3, which OpenAI retired on 2026-05-12, and --llm does not yet accept the gpt-image-2.5-*/2.6-* family. The Python ImageAgent already defaults to gpt-image-2.5-flare (PR #6262) — use it from Python until the CLI is updated. See Image Generation.

Image generation creates new images from text descriptions. To analyze existing images, use --image instead.

Generated images are returned as URLs that expire after a period of time. Save important images promptly.
