Authentication

Vertex AI supports two auth paths — pick the one that matches your setup.

Use a service account for CI and production. Use project + location for local development where you are already signed in with gcloud.

Three GA Veo 3.1 tiers cover cinematic quality down to cheap iteration.

Veo 3.1 features

Veo 3.1 adds frame interpolation and reference images. Both pass straight through generate() — no extra setup.

Pricing & billing

Vertex AI Veo bills per generated second in USD, charged through your connected GCP project.

Flow / AI Plus-Ultra subscription credits are a different meter and cannot pay for API generations. Vertex AI usage is billed via your GCP project.
